Should you encounter discrepancies in the general display, or notice absent channels and messages in the Teams app compared to the Teams web version, the subsequent steps provided can guide you in addressing these issues.

  1. Refresh Your Teams App: Sometimes, simple glitches can cause display issues. Try refreshing your Teams app or, if you're using the web version, refreshing your browser.
  2.  Check your Internet Connection: Unstable internet connections can lead to problems with message synchronization. Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
  3. Clear Your Teams Cache:Cached data can sometimes cause display issues.
    1. This is the most likely step to resolve the issue.
      Steps for Windows OS/PC:

      1. Sign out on Teams > Quit Microsoft Teams by right clicking the icon and select Quit.
      2. On your keyboard, Hold Windows key and Press R
      3. Cut and paste %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams in the RUN then OK.
      4. Delete the contents of the entire folder.
      5. Restart Device > Restart Microsoft Teams > Sign back into Teams
  4. Update Your Teams App: Outdated apps can have compatibility issues. Make sure you are using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Check for updates in your app store or the Teams website.
